BCPO nets over P200K ‘shabu’, four drug suspects

BACOLOD City – Officers of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized a total of P223,040 worth of suspected shabu from four drug suspects in four separate buy-bust operations in the city over the weekend.

On Saturday, August 24, at around 4:55 p.m., police arrested Annalyn Dela Cruz in Purok Cheriza 2, Barangay 27. She yielded 10 grams of suspected shabu approximately valued at P68,000.

In another anti-illegal drugs operation at 11:30 p.m. in Purok Mapinalangga-on, Barangay 35, Ramly “Balwig” Anima was apprehended for possessing five grams of suspected shabu worth P34,000.

Mark Jones Avaricio was also caught after 27 minutes, or at 11:57 p.m., in Purok Bulak of the same barangay. Police confiscated P32,640 worth of suspected shabu weighing around 4.8 grams.

BCPO records further showed that the fourth buy-bust operation carried out in Purok Sigay Barangay 2 yielded around P54,000 worth of shabu. Police also arrested Enrique Esio.

All four suspects are now detained, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
