ROXAS City – Police arrested a high-value drug suspect in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mongpong here.
The 18-year-old alias “Janjan”, a resident of the city’s Barangay Banica, yielded four knot-tied and six heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing around 135 grams and approximately valued at P918,000.
Joint operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RPDEU 6) and Roxas City Component Police Station also recovered an improvised shotgun and three live rounds of ammunition from the suspect.
In an interview, Janjan admitted that he had been involved in the illegal drug trade since he was 15.
The suspect was detained at the Roxas City Component Police Station. He will be charged with violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act)./PN
