ILOILO City – Two high-value targets were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation around 6 p.m. on Friday, September 6, on Lopez Jaena St., Barangay San Isidro, Jaro district.
Aliases “Boss” and Ace, both 41 years old ang residents of the district, were caught by operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RPDEU 6).
Authorities confiscated approximately 265 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P1,802,000, buy-bust money and non-drug-related items.
The suspects are now under police custody and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Brigadier General Jack Wanky, director of the Police Regional Office 6, lauded the RPDEU 6 and again warned those involved in the illegal drug trade.
“To those who still engaged in illegal drug trade, better stop from your activity. If you opted to continue, surely you will be ending in jail,” he said./PN
