CAPIZ – Assorted firearms, ammunition and suspected shabu were seized from a house in Barangay Astorga, Dumarao town.
Armed with a search warrant, operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Capiz swooped down on the house of Martinito “Owaw” Alvarez around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 12.
The subject of the raid managed to evade arrest but authorities confiscated two caliber .45 pistols, two caliber .38 revolvers, homemade shotgun, magazines, and ammunition.
Also recovered were 102 plastic sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.
The CIDG-Capiz, meanwhile arrested Cecil Alvarez and a 16-year-old boy.
In a K5 News FM Roxas report, Barangay Captain Remuel Dario of Astorga said that the boy was an alleged drug runner of Alvarez.
He also believed that Alvarez used the boy in his illegal drug transactions in exchange for money.
The minor and C. Alvarez were taken into custody by the CIDG-Capiz for proper disposition while Alvarez remained at large./PN
