ILOILO City – Oton, Iloilo’s No. 1 most wanted person was arrested in Barangay San Agustin, City Proper district here yesterday, September 17.
The 52-year-old alias “Vic-Vic”, a resident of Barangay Botong, Oton, was collared at around 11:50 a.m. through an arrest warrant issued by Judge Globert Justalero of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 32 for the crime of acts of lasciviousness.
The suspect is now under police custody. A P180,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty.
Captain Leunelyn Tamello, chief of the Oton Municipal Police Station, said the suspect allegedly sexually molested a seven-year-old girl sometime in May 2024.
Tamello said the arrest of the suspect was part of their operation against wanted persons.
“We are intensifying our operations against those who have pending cases,” the police chief added./PN
