JODI Sta. Maria is set to star in a horror movie under Regal Films.

The film outfit posted a teaser clip of the movie “Untold” featuring two characters played by Sta. Maria.

MATAKOT KA SA SARILI MO! #UNTOLDHorror. From the creators of the PHILIPPINES’ BIGGEST HORROR FRANCHISE – Regal Entertainment – comes the MOST TWISTED HORROR EVENT of 2024, starring Asian Academy Creative Awards Best Actress – Jodi Sta. Maria!” read the post on Regal Films’ Instagram page.

Fans online were quick to react to the teaser.

“Need ko ‘tong mapanuod sa sinehan. Kasi yung Clarita, grabe yung kilabot ko dun. Ilang araw akong di nakatulog,” one fan commented.

Susugod sa cinehan para mapanood yan excitinggg, sunod sunod ang mga project mo Mami ah. Congratssss Mami Jodi loveyou (sic),” another fan wrote.

The release date of “Untold” has yet to be announced.

Jodi previously starred in a horror movie in 2019 titled “Clarita.” The movie follows the story of a young woman who is apprehended and held by police when they suspect that she is possessed by a demon.

Aside from “Untold,” Jodi is currently starring in the hit primetime series “Lavender Fields.”

The show is the first action drama project of the actress. She plays the role of Jasmine.

“It’s new. It’s something I haven’t done before. Ako kasi I always welcome challenges. When I begin to doubt myself whether I can do it or not, the more nanggigil ako na dapat ko siyang gawin,” Jodi said in a previous interview as reported by PhilStar Global.

The actress has been training for the role.

Maraming preparations talaga rito. Hindi ito yung tipong isang araw lang at sasabak ka na. We’ve been preparing months before we shot the first scene. Kahit na hindi pa kailangan ang mga action scenes, we’ve been training for it,” she shared as reported by Manila Bulletin.

“Lavender Fields” is currently streaming on Netflix and on ABS-CBN platforms. (PUSH)
