IPPO intensifies operations against fugitives

ILOILO City – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) has intensified its crackdown on wanted persons.

Colonel Bayani Razalan, IPPO director, said they will run after those who have pending cases who are hiding.

“I instructed my police chiefs to review all arrest warrants and locate their whereabouts and put them behind bars” Razalan said.

The province’s top cop also alerted intelligence officers to coordinate with barangay officials to gather more information against the fugitives.

On Tuesday, September 17, Oton town’s No. 1 most wanted person for the crime of acts of lasciviousness was arrested in Barangay San Agustin, City Proper district in this city.

The 52-year-old alias “Vic-Vic”, a resident of Barangay Botong, Oton, is now under police custody. Judge Globert Justalero of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 32 recommended a P180,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty.

On the same day, the province’s No. 8 most wanted man, alias “Berle,” 56, of Barangay Abilay Sur, Oton, was arrested on Rizal Street, Barangay Tanza, City Proper, through an arrest warrant for the crime of rape. No bail bond was recommended for his temporary freedom./PN
