THE TRUMP clan, Donald and Don Jr., and maybe a few other members, are issuing “tokens” from World Liberty Financial although there are still details to follow.
There are at least 10,000 cryptocurrencies with various degrees of success. Anybody who wishes to can buy them or create their own but should politicians, or potential politicians, be involved?
The Australian Parliament has a “Register of Members’ Interests” which requires all politicians to declare everything they own and especially everything they are given. A couple of examples of people losing their position or ministry include one who declared a TV they brought into the country as black and white rather than color and thus avoided import fees and another who forgot to declare a Paddington bear.
If all politicians had to be honest, declare what they have and what they got from others or what they were going to earn from their gullible followers, would we have any politicians left?

Look up not down
Donald Trump has stated “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” and he might be one of the few people in the world to say so, especially in all caps, but the majority loves her, many of them voters.
Most honest people will say there are people they would not want to work or socialize with, but rarely anyone they truly hate. Hate is only negative.
The world of politics is complex, divisive, and dishonest but it shouldn’t be. Those that represent the people should represent all of the people but that doesn’t seem likely to be the path in the US.
Look for the positive, create the positive and support the positive.

More than just a voice
With the passing of James Earl Jones we lose one of the most recognizable voices to appear in the films with “I am your father”.
Perhaps one of the most important parts of his life story is his progress from being a stutterer to playing the President in the 1972 film “The Man”, a fiction that became reality when Joe Bidden, a stutterer, became the real President.
There is much to praise in his acting career but the greatest achievement was creating that voice./PN
