BACOLOD City – The Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) will impose a truck ban on circumferential road on October 26 for the Electric Masskara parade.
Electric MassKara is one of the highlights of this year’s MassKara Festival.
BTAO deputy head Jose Antonio Robello said the ban begins 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m.
“The circumferential road will be closed as early as 5 p.m. to prepare for the parade. It will commence once the sun sets,” said Robello.
Alternative routes meanwhile will be available for drivers who need to navigate around the affected areas.
Marking its 45th anniversary, MassKara festivities will take place from October 12 to 27, with the main events scheduled to align with City Ordinance No. 33, which mandates the festival’s celebration on the fourth Sunday of October.
This year’s theme, “Sapphire Celebration”, promises a host of activities and events, celebrating the rich culture and spirited community of Bacolod City./PN
