ILOILO – A 62-year-old fisherman was wounded while fighting back an intruder in his house in Brgy. Trapeche, Oton town.
Eddie Hollera is now confined at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Iloilo City for wounds on his head, back, neck and right hand.
PO3 John Batadlan, Oton police investigator, said the victim, his 25-year-old wife and three children were sleeping Saturday night when the bolo-wielding man entered their house.
The intrusion awakened Hollera. He confronted the intruder who hacked him several times then fled.
Hollera’s wife and children were unharmed.
“We are investigating the incident,” Batadlan said.
The police is looking at other possible motives aside from robbery.
