Reshuffle affects police chiefs in 15 Iloilo towns

ILOILO – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) initiated a major reshuffling of the Chiefs of Police (COPs) for 15 towns, starting Thursday, October 10.

This reshuffle involves several police captains and majors who have been relocated to new assignments.

According to IPPO spokesperson Police Major Rolando Araño, the reason for the reshuffle is that these officers had served for two years in their respective towns – the maximum number of years allowed for an assignment or tour of duty.

Additionally, some reassignments were requested by the local chief executives (LCEs) themselves, said Araño.

Recently, the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) reminded policemen to avoid partisan activities.

“Our men should be apolitical and neutral. We have to boost our election-related preparations to ensure peace and order during the 2025 polls,” said PRO-6 director Brigadier General Jack Wanky.

The reshuffled COPs were the following:

* Police Captain General Enrique Robles was transferred from Banate Municipal Police Station (MPS) to Leganes MPS.

* Police Captain John Robles moved from Leganes MPS to Lemery MPS.

* Police Captain Jose Winston Biadog shifted from Lemery MPS to Ajuy MPS.

* Police Captain Randy Lambungan was reassigned from Ajuy MPS to Banate MPS.

* Police Captain Alwin Salmon relocated from Janiuay MPS to Dingle MPS.

* Police Captain Hector Ayagan moved from IPPO Provincial Headquarters to Janiuay MPS.

* Police Major Samuel Vipisona returned to Concepcion MPS from Dumangas MPS.

* Police Major Richard Lao was reassigned from San Miguel MPS to Miag-ao MPS.

* Police Captain Zharra Dela Rosa shifted from Zarraga MPS to San Miguel MPS.

* Police Captain Dandy Ilalto relocated from IPPO Provincial Headquarters to Zarraga MPS.

* Police Captain Aileen Lacrite moved from Dingle MPS to Cabatuan MPS.

* Police Captain Francis Donnie Lomahan was transferred from Miag-ao MPS to Igbaras MPS.

* Police Captain Martin Pugales shifted from Igbaras MPS to Leon MPS.

* Police Lieutenant Philip Girao was relocated from Sara MPS to Bingawan MPS.

Furthermore, Police Captain Dionisio Estacio from Cabatuan MPS has been transferred to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), and Police Captain Jojo Octavio of Bingawan MPS has been assigned to the IPPO Provincial Headquarters.

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Rommel Francisco Marbil directed all police units to remain vigilant, perform their duties efficiently under the Quad principle, and ensure public safety.

“We are entering a crucial period…I am reminding every officer that political neutrality is a core responsibility. Do not allow yourselves to be influenced or used by politicians,” Marbil said.

He also pointed out that their duty is to “uphold law and order without any bias or political partisan,” adding that those who “engage in partisan activities will be dealt with accordingly.”

“We will not tolerate any officer who compromises our commitment to neutrality and fairness. Any form of political interference, whether directly or indirectly, will be met with swift and decisive action,” the PNP chief added./PN
