Capiz government extends aid to 18 ex-rebels

CAPIZ – Gov. Fredenil Castro welcomed into the fold of the law 18 former rebels from this province.

The said rebel returnees from the towns of Tapaz and Cuartero received livelihood assistance from the provincial government through the Provincial Social and Welfare Development Office (PSWDO) that .

Also present during the event was Captain Roel T. Maglalang, Civil Military Operations Officer of the 301st Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army.

Ako nagapasalamat nga ginpili nyo nga magbalik sa matawhay nga kabuhi,” read part of Gov. Castro’s statement during the financial assistance distribution at the provincial capitol last week.

He also assured the provincial government’s continued support to all Capiznons, including the members of the New People’s Army who want to surrender to the government./PN
