PRO-6’s anti-drug ops yield P82-M in illegal drugs, 317 suspects in October

ILOILO CITY – The month-long anti-illegal drug operations by the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) resulted in the confiscation of illegal drugs worth around P82 million and the arrest of 317 drug suspects across Western Visayas.

From October 1 to 31, various police units executed 246 operations, seizing approximately 12,066 grams of shabu with a street value of P82 million and 2,013 grams of marijuana worth P241,000.

“These results highlight your commitment to ridding our communities of illegal drugs. Continue to foster strong relationships with the community and work closely with partner agencies. Together, we can protect Western Visayas from the dangers of illegal drugs,” Brigadier General Jack Wanky, the region’s top cop, told the police.

Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has the biggest volume of confiscation reaching P29.7 million worth of illegal drugs, followed by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) with P28.8 million and Iloilo Police Provincial Office with P11.1 million.

Meanwhile, Negros Occidental led with the highest number of arrested drug suspects at 104, followed by ICPO and BCPO with 83 and 62, respectively.
