ILOILO – A 28-year-old motorcyclist died after crashing into a parked tricycle in Barangay Inagdangan Sur, Zarraga town in this province on Friday, November 8.
The victim, identified as John Paul Medel of Barangay Bagacay, San Dionisio town, was declared dead on arrival at the hospital due to severe head injuries.
According to Zarraga Municipal Police Station chief Captain Dany Ilalto, the victim was reportedly speeding and traveling from Pototan town towards Iloilo City when he hit a tricycle parked along the roadside.
Despite wearing a helmet, the impact caused it to be dislodged, resulting in fatal head trauma. Fortunately, no other individuals were injured in the accident, added Ilalto./PN
