ILOILO City – A man who allegedly broke into the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) in Barangay Bitoon, Jaro district was apprehended in Antique.

Alias “Nathaniel”, 34, a resident of Jaro, was caught on the school’s closed-circuit television camera footage.

According to Major Eduardo Siacon Jr., chief of the Iloilo City Police Station 9, the suspect allegedly broke into a classroom in PSHS on Monday, November 11, while the flag raising ceremony was ongoing, stealing laptops, netbook, several cellular phones, and cash amounting to P14,000.

Following his identification, Nathaniel was intercepted on Tuesday, November 12, in Trade Town Dalipe, Tibiao, Antique by officers of the San Jose Municipal Police Station after reportedly committing a similar burglary at St. Anthony’s College.

The suspect is now under police custody.

Authorities were preparing to file appropriate charges against him as of this writing./PN
