ILOILO City – A fetus was discovered at around 7 p.m. on Monday, November 18, in Barangay North Baluarte, Molo district.
Alias “Omi,” who found the around three-month-old fetus, initially thought it was something else but later realized that dogs might have dragged it into the alley.
According to City Social Welfare Officer Enriquez Loenore, it is possible that the fetus was intentionally abandoned or resulted from a complication during pregnancy.
As of this writing, officers of the Molo police station and the City Social Welfare and Development Office were still investigating the case to identify the person responsible for abandoning the fetus.
Police however said that a person of interest has been identified based on a witness account. The woman was approximately five feet tall, wearing a facemask and a jacket.
The fetus was brought to the barangay hall to be given a proper burial./PN
