Four nabbed in Molo drug bust

ILOILO City – Police arrested four individuals in a drug buy-bust operation in Zone 7, Barangay Calumpang, Molo district around 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 28.

Lieutenant Lloyd Pagulayan, deputy chief of the Iloilo City Police Station 4 (ICPS4), identified the suspects as brothers Alfonso Muñoz, 45, and Arvin Muñoz, 41, and Andres Espinosa, 30, and his elder brother Glodwil Cris Espinosa, 37. All four were residents of Barangay Flores, City Proper district.

They were apprehended after Muñoz sold a plastic sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover operative for P3,000.

Also recovered from Muñoz were five plastic sachets of suspected shabu, including the buy-bust item.

Pagulayan said Muñoz admitted to using illegal drugs.

He added that the suspects had been under surveillance for two weeks before the operation.

The suspects were detained at the ICPS4. They will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
