ANTIQUE – Residents of this province have been advised to begin purchasing their noche buena items early as price adjustment is expected as the holidays draw near.

Mutya Eusores, the director of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Antique, recommended to start buying these products while there is enough supply and prices are stable.

Eusores noted that the Price Guide for Noche Buena items has been distributed to stores, serving as a helpful tool for consumers and store owners alike.

She also cited the importance of stores displaying visible price tags for the benefit of consumers.

Trade Secretary Ma. Cristina Aldeguer-Roque earlier said the prices of most noche buena items remain unchanged.

She, however, said minor price increases on certain commodities are already being implemented.

Roque said these increases are necessary to account for rising costs, particularly for imported goods.

But she assured consumers that adjustments were kept minimal to ensure they would not be a burden. (PNA)
