ILOILO City – Police seized approximately P272,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation on Sunday, December 1, in Barangay Lopez Jaena Norte, La Paz district.
Arrested were aliases “Archie”, 33, and “Nilo”, 22, both residents of the said place.
Officers of the Iloilo City Police Station 2 recovered around 40 grams during the operation which took place 12:30 a.m.
Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, director of the Police Regional Office 6, commended the operatives for their proactive efforts.
“This accomplishment reflects the dedication of our personnel in combating illegal drugs. Let us continue working together with stakeholders to stop its proliferation,” he said.
The suspects are now in police custody. They are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
