
CAPIZ – More than 2,000 community volunteers in this province received special risk allowance (SRA) from the provincial government on Wednesday, December 11.
Gov. Fredenil Castro and Provincial Health Officer II Dr. Ramon Alex T. Nolasco led the distribution of SRA to 1,862 Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), 138 Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) and 295 Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPOs), at Villareal Stadium in Roxas City.
BHWs received P6,000 each while BNS and BSPOs were given P4,500 each.
Here is the breakdown of the community volunteers per town:
* Maayon – 421
* President Roxas – 267
* Pilar – 390
* Panitan – 376
* Pontevedra – 437
* Panay – 420
The governor said they made every effort to release the SRA to the community volunteers as an early Christmas gift and recognition of their contributions to the success of programs and projects of the provincial government.
Also present during the distribution were Vice Gov. James Magbanua; Provincial Administrator Atty. Arthur John Biñas; 1st District Deputy Administrator Enrique Martin; Provincial Board members Thea Faith Reyes, Trina Marie Ignacio, Blesilda Almalbis, Sonny Besa, and Jose Fulgencio del Rosario; Pontevedra’s Mayor Henry Tumlos; Panay’s Mayor Vic Bermejo; and Maayon’s Vice Mayor Jose Dapulaza./PN
