ILOILO City – A live-in couple tagged as high-value individuals were arrested for alleged peddling of illegal drugs in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao district.
Officers of the Iloilo City Police Station 10 (ICPS10) confiscated 55 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P374,000 from Divina Grace Vasquez, 34, a resident of the said barangay, and her live-in partner Arthem Palermo, 46, of Barangay Bolong Este, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
Lieutenant Cosmeflor Marco Jr., deputy station commander of ICPS10, said the suspects had been under surveillance for two weeks before the operation.
Authorities also revealed that the couple allegedly operated in barangays Bakhaw and Bolilao in Mandurriao, but the source of their illegal drug supply has yet to be determined.
The suspects were detained at the ICPS10. They will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
