ILOILO – A 34-year-old motorcycle rider died after his vehicle crashed into a concrete wall in Barangay Cawayan, Carles, Iloilo yesterday, January 13.
According to Police Major Sonny Boy Garnace, chief of the Carles Municipal Police Station (MPS), the victim identified as Antonio Baclas Alfon Jr., a resident of Barangay Natividad, Pilar, Capiz, was discovered lifeless by several residents.
Garnace said the victim may have lost control of his motorcycle, leading to the accident.
He added that the incident appeared to have occurred early yesterday morning but was only reported later as no witnesses had seen the crash taking place.
As of this writing, officers of the Carles MPS were still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident./PN
