CAPIZ – The families of two overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from this province who died in a fire in Kuwait last December received financial assistance from the provincial government.

Labor Attaché Manuel Dimaano of the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Kuwait also reported that the fire started in a residence located in the Al Adan area of the Mubarak Al Kabeer governorate, south of Kuwait City.
“According to the report, the workers’ cause of death was attributed to the inhalation of non-breathable, toxic gases from the fire,” Dimaano said.
Following the tragic incident, Dimaano assured that the MWO was working on the repatriation of the victims’ remains to the Philippines.
The DMW had also extended financial and emotional support to the families of the deceased./PN
