BACOLOD City – The city government directed all 61 barangays here to adopt digitalization by implementing online processing of transactions particularly business permit applications.
This comes after the positive feedbacks from the business community received by the city’s ongoing business one-stop-shop (BOSS) at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC).
“I received feedbacks from businessmen that due to the BOSS, processing for the renewal and new registration of business permits becomes easier,” said Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez. “That is why I also want all barangays here to go ‘online’.
BOSS operation here has been extended until February 15.
Prior to its kickoff on January 2, Mayor Benitez had directed all barangays through Executive Order (EO) No. 067 dated December 19, 2024 to participate in the BOSS and provided them spaces at the second floor of BCGC.
The said EO imposes the need for improving efficiency in the delivery of government services to the public by reducing bureaucratic red tape./PN
