Negros Occ. embraces digital empowerment

BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental is ushering in a new era of digital empowerment with the inauguration of a new business center at the Negros First Cyber Center in this city on January 29.

Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson led the event, emphasizing the transformative impact of technology in bridging the digital divide and fostering economic growth.

The governor highlighted the center’s role in providing state-of-the-art fiber internet connectivity, which he said would enhance business operations, improve educational access, and expand communication options for residents.

“The establishment of this Business Center within the Negros First Cyber Center signifies a robust public-private cooperation that underscores our shared vision of progress,” he added.

Lacson noted that businesses — both large and small — will benefit from reliable high-speed internet, allowing them to operate more efficiently and compete in the global market.

Educational institutions, he said, will also gain enhanced access to digital learning resources, while residents will experience improved communication and entertainment services.

The new business center of a fast-growing fiber internet provider aims to provide premium digital experiences and expand connectivity across Negros Occidental.

“This initiative opens up more opportunities for Negrenses, allowing them to fully embrace the benefits of advanced digital infrastructure,” Lacson said./PN
