ILOILO – Police seized around P544,000 worth of suspected shabu in a drug buy-bust operation on Thursday night, January 30, in Barangay Trapiche, Oton town.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Abner Jordan, chief of the Oton Municipal Police Station, identified the suspects as aliases “Dec,” 38, and “Jov,” 31, both residents of the said barangay.

Dec had reportedly been selling drugs as far as Antique province, but police are still verifying the source of the illegal drugs, said Jordan.
He added that Dec had voluntarily surrendered to the police under the anti-illegal drugs war campaign “Oplan Tokhang.”
The suspects are now in police custody, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
