Myla Pablo spearheaded the offense with 14 points to be named Player of the Game as the Angels notched their seventh consecutive victory for an 8-1 win-loss slate.
βSince I am one of the players expected to perform, I needed to step up and also provide the leadership that my younger teammates and coaches expect to see from me,β Pablo said after the game.
Brooke van Sickle, on the other hand, contributed 13 markers while anchoring their defense with nine excellent digs and three receptions, Mary Remy Palma chipped in seven points, while MJ Phillips added six markers.
Flexing their depth, skill and firepower, the Angels controlled the first two sets with ease before shifting into high gear in the third, sealing the match in just one hour and 21 minutes.
No player from the Solar Spikers reached double digits in scoring with Heather Guino-o top-scoring with eight points, followed by Des Clemente-de Guzman with six markers. They dropped to No. 12 in the standings with a 1-9 record.
Meanwhile, Creamline Cool Smashers continued their winning ways as they scored a 25-15, 25-19, 27-25 sweep over Farm Fresh Foxies.
Negrense Bernadeth Pons tallied seven points after playing just the opening set as the defending champions Cool Smashers remained on top of the standings with a 9-0 win-loss slate.
Jessica Galanza top-scored for the Cool Smashers with 15 points, on 12 attacks, two service aces, and a block, while Kyle Negrito and Alyssa Valdez chipped in eight markers apiece.
Caitlyn Viray finished with 11 points to lead the way for the Foxies, while Negrense Alyssa Bertolano added eight markers as they dropped to a 4-6 win-loss card./PN
