BACOLOD City – A Technology Transfer and Educational Farm Tour 2025 is scheduled on February 20 to 21 in Negros Occidental.
Spearheaded by Philippine Sugar Technologists Association, Inc.’s (Philsutech) Agriculture and Farm Engineering Division, the two-day activity will kick off with technology transfer sessions at the Planta Hotel in this capital city on February 20. Topics to be discussed include farm productivity and cost efficiency.
On the second day, participants will have an educational tour at Hacienda Lucas farm in Kabankalan City.
In line with its goal of providing continuing education for its members on the different facets of sugar production technology, Philsutech offers technical trainings for its members and other industry stakeholders.
Simultaneous with the two-day activity, a seminar on Applied Technology on Bioenergy and Environmental Management will take place at the Planta Hotel.
This seminar offers updates on government policies related to environmental management and pollution control, and is credited as continuing education units for environmental and pollution control professionals, particularly in the sugar industry.
Moreover, Philsutech’s Management Division will hold a one-day seminar titled “Future-ready Leadership: Integration of Values and AI in the Sugar Industry” at the said hotel on February 21.
Also, the Applied Technology on Sugar Processing (ATSP), organized by the Engineering Division, is slated on March 3 to 7 at Palmas del Mar Resort here, and the Applied Technology on Energy Management and Utilization organized by the Bioenergy and Environmental Management Division will follow on March 17 to 21.
The much-awaited 71st Philsutech Annual National Convention will be held on August 11 to 15 in Cebu City./PN
