High-value target yields ‘shabu’, gun

ANTIQUE – Authorities arrested a high-value drug suspect for possession of suspected shabu valued at around P612,000 in an antidrug operation over the weekend in Purok 1, Barangay Salvacion, Sibalom town here.

The suspect identified as alias “Ed”, 56, a resident of the said place, also yielded one unit of homemade shotgun and ammunition.

The successful operation was executed at 11:05 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, by the Sibalom Municipal Police Station, Antique Police Provincial Office’s Intelligence Unit and Drug Enforcement Unit, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Antique.

The suspect is currently in police custody and will be charged with violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
