
ILOILO City – Grupo Ilonggo de Saltatores from Jalandoni Memorial National High School clinched the championship title in Sinamba sa Regatta 2025, earning the honor to represent Iloilo City in the prestigious Aliwan Fiesta 2026.
The victory was announced by Mayor Jerry P. Treñas before the start of the paraw sailing competition on March 2, held as part of the Iloilo-Guimaras Paraw Regatta Festival in Arevalo district.
“This victory is a testament to the talent and dedication of our Ilonggo performers. We are proud to showcase our culture and traditions on a national stage, and I am confident that Grupo Ilonggo de Saltatores will make Iloilo City proud in Aliwan Fiesta 2026,” said Mayor Treñas.
In addition to the championship title, the group garnered several special awards, including Best in Street Dance, Best in Music, Best in Choreography, Best in Original Composition, and Best in Performance.
