ILOILO – The provincial government has allocated P30 million for the expansion and improvement of the Sara District Hospital, aiming to enhance healthcare delivery in northern Iloilo this year.

Located in Barangay Anoring, Sara, the 50-bed capacity district hospital serves patients from the municipalities of Sara, Ajuy, Concepcion, Lemery, and San Dionisio.

The expansion project includes the construction of a two-storey building that will house additional wards to reduce overcrowding, shorten waiting times, and improve patient comfort.

Part of the upgrade is the establishment of a modern dietary department equipped with the latest technologies to support patient nutrition and recovery.

The initiative seeks to improve access to quality medical care in northern Iloilo, aligning with the provincial government’s commitment to strengthen public health infrastructure across the province./PN
