ILOILO City – A total of 330,621 registered voters in Iloilo City are set to cast their ballots in the upcoming May 2025 midterm elections, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
The figure reflects the city’s robust civic engagement, said Comelec Election Assistant Jonathan Sayno, who added that preparations are underway to ensure a smooth and orderly voting process across all seven districts.
The breakdown of registered voters per district is as follows:
* Jaro – 90,897
* City Proper – 45,069
* Molo – 56,044
* Mandurriao – 40,109
* La Paz – 38,251
* Arevalo – 35,850
* Lapuz – 24,401
“The high number of registered voters underscores Iloilo City’s active political participation. We are committed to facilitating a peaceful and fair election,” Sayno said.
The official campaign period in the city began on March 28, with no reported election-related incidents as of this writing.
Sayno reminded candidates to observe all Comelec regulations, including the timely submission of rally notices and coordination with law enforcement to maintain public order.
Election day is scheduled for May 12./PN
