ANTIQUE – Beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in this province can expect the continued release of their cash grants, as the program has been granted an exemption from the election ban.

Jeffrey Gabucay, a local representative, said in an interview yesterday, April 4, that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Central Office sought approval from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to ensure that the poorest of the poor, including those in Antique, continue receiving financial aid.

β€œIn fact, we had just a payout for the 27,353 household beneficiaries last March for their Period 6 or Dec. 2024-Jan. 2025 cash grant,” Gabucay said.

He added that beneficiaries received their cash grants through their cash cards.

With Period 6 completed, the program has now shifted to Period 1, covering February to March 2025. The next payout is expected in May.

Under the 4Ps program, each household receives P750 per month for health expenses; education grants of P300 per elementary student, P500 per junior high school student, and P700 per senior high school student, with a maximum of three children per household.

Gabucay also noted that during the Period 6 payout, 234 pregnant women and 753 children aged zero to two received an additional P350 each, on top of the P750 household health grant, under the First 1,000 Days (F1KD) program.

“This was the first time that the P350 monthly grant for pregnant women and young children was directly released through their cash cards,” he said.

The F1KD program aims to support proper nutrition during a child’s first 1,000 days by providing financial aid for essential vitamins and food.

Gabucay confirmed that the additional monthly grants will continue to be distributed every two months. (PNA)
