ILOILO – A four-year-old boy died after he was hit by a motorcycle while crossing the road in Barangay Bantud Fabrica, Dumangas town on Sunday, April 13.
According to the Dumangas Municipal Police Station (MPS), the child was walking along the road with friends when he suddenly crossed the street, resulting in the tragic accident.
Police said he was distracted by something flying in the air, which led him to unexpectedly cross the road.
The boy was rushed to Dumangas District Hospital but later died due to severe body injuries.
The 38-year-old motorcycle driver, meanwhile, was immediately taken into custody by the Dumangas MPS.
Police said the driver will face charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide./PN
