MANILA – The characterization of the Philippines as a “black state” is more fitting for the Duterte administration rather than the current Marcos administration, according to Presidential Communications Office’s Undersecretary Claire Castro.

The state of the country under President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is now heading into “white”, she added.

Sobrang itim. Ngayon, papaliwanag sa panahon ng kasalukuyang administrasyon,” Castro said.

Castro’s remark came after presidential sister Sen. Imee Marcos said in her latest political advertisement with Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio that the current state of the country is “itim.”

In the 31-second video, Duterte-Carpio and Marcos, who were both dressed in black, described the current state of the Philippines.
