ILOILO City – An American national was jailed for refusing to pay his drinks at a night club here.
Thirty-six-year-old Courtney Davis of North Carolina, USA, temporarily residing in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, was arrested by policemen after the management of Camp Jefferson complained.
Davis’ bill reached P13,000.
If Davis were to be believed, he and a companion occupied a “VIP room” at Camp Jefferson and ordered drinks. Later, six women joined them and kept on ordering drinks.
The binge drinking lasted until 3 a.m. yesterday.
Davis refused to pay his bill, thus the management sought police assistance.
Davis claimed he did not invite the six women.
Davis had been staying in the country for eight years now. He later told policemen he was willing to settle his bill./PN
