BACOLOD City – Expect a huge turnout of spectators today as host Ceres-La Salle Football Club, representing the Philippines, will face the People’s Republic of Korea Rimyongsu FC at 5 p.m. today at the renovated Panaad Park and Sports Stadium.
The game opens the AFC President’s Cup Group B Qualifiers.
At 7:30 p.m.,HTTU FC of defending champion Turkmenistan will clash against Tatung Company of Chinese Taipei .
Ceres-La Salle will also face Turkmenistan on May 10 at 5 p.m. while Tatung of Chinese Taipei meets the People’s Republic of Korea Rimyongsu at 7:30 p.m.
Both Rimyongsu FC and Tatung FC arrived Sunday.
Starting today, May 6 to 10, the four teams will battle each other for the top spot in Group B and advance to the finals in September.
Ceres-La Salle FC have beefed up its lineup with homegrown talents from Negros, Iloilo and Cebu as well as the Filipino-foreign recruits from the national team, the Azkals./PN
