ILOILO City– Seven more police officers of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) will be reshuffled.

Supt. Ruperto Floro, ICPO director, started the revamp last week, initially affecting three officers.

In this latest shakeup, Chief Insp. Dande Deocampo, chief of the ICPO anti-gambling section, will now head the Police Community Relations.

Jaro police chief, Chief Insp. Rhea Santos will now lead the ICPO traffic section.

The platoon leader of the Iloilo City Public Safety Company (ICPSC), Senior Insp. Mark Cordero will transfer to Police Station 1 as chief.

Senior Insp. Christopher Rodriguez of Police Station 1 will head Police Station 2 (La Paz).

La Paz police commander, Chief Insp. Efren Lozada is headed to the ICPO.

Jaro sub-station chief, Senior Insp. Herbert Ballego will act as officer-in-charge of Police Station 3 (Jaro).

Police Station 1 deputy chief, Insp. Berry Roncal will be assigned to Jaro.

Their new assignments take effect on July 1.

According to ICPO spokesperson, Supt. Gilbert Gorero, the reshuffling is due to the pullout of several police officers; they will be taking further studies and trainings.

These police officers are traffic chief, Senior Insp. Kit Flora and Senior Insp. Rene Obrego of the ICPO.

On the other hand, Senior Insp. Edel Hermoso will transfer to the Guimaras Police Provincial Office.

“The revamp is normal,” Gorero stressed.

Last week, Floro pulled out Senior Insp. Marlon Valencia from the Molo police station and made him the Iloilo City Public Safety Company deputy commander.

Valencia replaced Insp. Christopher Rodriguez who was reassigned as chief of the city hall police detachment.

Senior Insp. Rio Maymay, former head of the city hall police detachment, is now the Molo police chief.

But more will be reshuffled, police sources said./PN
