ILOILO – Out of 14 police stations in the province that have no police chiefs, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) has filled up 10.

Police stations and their new police chiefs are:

The towns with no police chiefs are Leganes, San Miguel, Guimbal, and Maasin.

IPPO director, Senior Supt. Cornelio Salinas said these 10 officers are deputy police chiefs and will act only as officers-in-charge.

“While waiting for the police chiefs to come back after they finish schooling, they are the caretakers of the police stations,” Salinas said.

These 14 police chiefs will undergo six months training as part of their requirements for the next rank as Chief Inspector.

“We have to look for other police officials to temporarily man the four other police stations,” Salinas said.

Among police chiefs who are training for advance course training are:

  • Senior Insp. Raymund Celoso of San Miguel
  • Senior Insp. Aron Palomo of Pototan
  • Senior Insp. Jojo Tabaluc of Miag-ao
  • Senior Insp. Johnny Tumambing of Maasin
  • Senior Insp. Aldren Lamera of Sara
  • Senior Insp. Danny Lamera of Sara
  • Senior Insp. Engilbert Banquillo of Cabatuan
  • Senior Insp. Jonathan Pinuela of Dumangas
  • Senior Insp. Norlan Perante of Guimbal
  • Senior Insp. Cyril Octavio of Leganes
  • Senior Insp. Terrence Paul Sta. Ana of San Dionisio
  • Senior Insp. Rodelon Betita of Carles
  • Senior Insp. Gervinson Moyo of Balasan, and
  • Senior Insp. Alejandro Apostol of Igbaras.

“I expect them to be as good as their superiors even they serve only as officers-in-charge,” Salinas added./PN
