ILOILO City — A furniture store in Brgy. San Jose, Arevalo district, had been robbed.
Ethel Madrillo, 44, secretary of JV Landmarks, Inc. and Rebeña Furniture, found their administration office in disarray on Monday morning.
Madrillo checked their supplies and found out that the store’s two mobile phones were missing.
Initial investigation by the regional crime laboratory discovered that fingerprints from the suspects were present on the ground and second floors of the building.
Stephanie Compania, 37, a store employee, may have lost her credit card to the robbers, too.
She complained that she received a text message from Citi Bank saying someone currently holding her credit card successfully made four transactions worth P28,000 a day after the alleged robbery.
Compania recalled that she kept her credit card in the drawer of her office table.
A week prior to the incident, Nelia Yao, 49, the shop cashier, reported that her collection worth P24,000 placed in her office cabinet went missing.
There were no signs of forced entry in the establishment, initial investigation showed./PN
