ILOILO City – A 20-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing fighting cocks in Barangay Sto. Niño Sur, Arevalo district.
Jyllreik Quisilof Abilay Sur, Oton, Iloilo was hauled to the Arevalo police station jail yesterday.
A barangay tanod(watchman) caught Quisil and 23-year-old Mark Jay Caballesof Barangay Ungka, Jaro district with four fighting cocks around 5:30 a.m.
Caballes managed to flee and take away two of the fighting cocks.
Police seized from Quisil two fighting cocks and a sachets of suspected shabu.
Quisil confessed to the police he was stealing and selling fighting cocks so he could buy shabu.
He was facing theft and illegal drug possession charges./PN
