BACOLOD City – A Grade 4 school teacher was found hanging from the ceiling of a classroom in Cuaycong Elementary School, Hacienda Cuaycong, Barangay 20, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
Danilo Inquillo, 57, was a widower and resident of Barangay 19, Victorias City.
Three schoolgirls found him dead around 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 15, said Superintendent Herman Garbosa, acting police chief of Victorias City. Around Inquillo’s neck was a metal chain.
The police did not immediately conclude that this was a case of suicide. An autopsy would be conducted, said Garbosa.
Inquillo had three children. Police said he may have personal and financial problems.
Cris Ian, one of the teacher’s children, told the police his father looked depressed days prior to his death. But investigators were not ruling out foul play./PN
