ROXAS City – The provincial government of Capiz will provide scholarship to the children of poor Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (Cafgu) members in the province.
The program will be carried out in partnership with the Philippine Army and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda), according to the Capiz Aksyon News Center.
Indigent Cafgu families deserve assistance “because they help the government maintain peace and order,” stressed Gov. Antonio del Rosario.
The Philippine Army will identify the scholars, while Tesda will provide the technical-vocational scholarship.
The number of slots, the cost of the program and the allowance of the scholars have yet to be determined, the provincial information office said. (PNA)
