ILOILO City – A 26-year-old woman from Barangay Navais, Mandurriao district is facing an adultery charge. Her husband caught her having sex with another man.
“Lyn” did not admit the act but said she has fallen out of love.
According to Lyn, she asked her husband, the 31-year-old “Jun,” to haul her to jail and find another woman.
“Mas maayo pa mapreso ako kaysa sa mag-upod ko sa (iya),” Lyn said in a radio interview. “Walang forever. Ngita na lang sia sang babae nga mapalangga sa iya kay indi na ako karapat-dapat sa iya.”
Lyn is now detained at the lockup cell of the Mandurriao police station. Jun said he will file an adultery charge against her.
According to Jun, he caught Lyn with “Berting,” a 40-year-old taxi driver from Leganes, Iloilo, around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday in a nipa hut next to their house.
“Gin sugò ako sang bayaw ko nga magbalik kay makuha sang gamit,” Jun said in a radio interview. “Kita ko asawa ko nagsulod sa pihak (nipa hut). Gin panilagan ko, wala na kabalik.”
Berting ran away. Jun said he tried to chase him, but to no avail.
Jun said he already caught the two many times before and warned them not to do it again, but they continued.
According to Lyn, her detention might make Jun feel better.
“Gin hambalan ko sia (Jun) nga ipa-preso niya na lang ako para makabayad ako sa tanan ko nga sala sa iya,” she said.
Lyn and Jun have been married for almost eight years. They have four children./PN
