GUIMARAS – The rehabilitation of two bailey bridges in Buenavista town has been proposed for inclusion under the “Tulay ng Pangulo Para sa Kaunlarang Pang-Agraryo” project.
The project is under the Department of Agrarian Reform but the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was asked to help in the revalidation.
The bridges were in Salvacion-Tastasan and at the waterway structure over Loblob River in Nazaret-East Valencia, said Vivian Tan, information officer for the DPWH Region 6.
First proposed under the Tulay ng Pangulo project in 2009, the structures’ rehab did not materialize due to lack of fund, said Tan.
Once the structures are rehabilitated, the transport of products is seen to get faster and more convenient, she said. (PNA)
