ILOILO City – The Panublion Regional Trade Fair this year recorded a total sales of P7,587,879, a triple growth from last year’s P2 million sales.
The fair, which run from Oct. 10 to 16 at SM City Iloilo, showcased the products of micro, small and medium enterprises from Iloilo, Capiz, Antique, Guimaras and Negros Occidental.
In a press release, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Western Visayas said the products went through development, enhancement, packaging and labeling.
“The exhibit included a variety of creations ranging from gifts, housewares and decors, fashion accessories of indigenous fibers like piña, abaca, raffia, unique furnishings and novelty items,” the DTI said.
The trade fair also included fresh and processed food and “green” products.
According to DTI, the event did not only showcase the products “but likewise the skills that distinctly created the product which this region is known for.” (With a report from DTI/PN)
