WVSU wins AVP contest on Fair Trade Laws

WEST Visayas State University’s (WVSU) College of Communication (COC) Section 4B is this year’s champion of the Audio-Video Production (AVP) on Fair Trade Laws (FTLs) Contest conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Iloilo on Oct. 12 2016 at the Kalantiao Hall, Sarabia Manor Hotel, Gen. Luna St., Iloilo City.
The winning AVP entry bested nine other entries from the WVSU-COC, WVSU-College of Education, University of San Agustin, Central Philippine University, and ABE International Business College.
The AVP on FTLs Contest produced ten information, education, and communications materials on the Consumer Act of the Philippines, the Product Standards Law, the Price Tag Law, and the Price Act. The AVPs will be disseminated to enhance consumer awareness and promote compliance among business establishments on the FTLs.
The said contest is one of DTI Iloilo’s activities for this year’s Consumer Welfare Month. /PN
