ILOILO – A house raid in Barangay Lopez Jaena Ward, Pototan town yielded a .45 pistol and bullets.
The subject of the raid, Henry Dato-on, was arrested.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) carried out the raid.
According to CIDG director, Senior Superintendent Marlon Tayaba, Dato-on was a drug suspect and turned himself in to the police in July claiming he was a drug user.
The suspect was into money-lending.
“We received reports na palagi niya gina-threaten ang mga nanghiram sa kanya kapag hindi makabayad so we conducted an operation,” said Tayaba.
Dato-on was detained at the CIDG detention cell.
“Kung hindi pera binabayad, baril ang binbayad ng mga nanghihiram sa kanya,” the CIDG chief said.
Dato-on faces a charge for violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
