ROXAS City – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) is determining what skills training barangays in Capiz need.
The mapping is in line with the Barangay Kasanayan para sa Kabuhayan at Kapayapaan (BKPKK) program.
According to Tesda-Capiz BKPKK focal person Ronald Baldove, the mapping results “will be the basis of BKPKK funding.”
About 60 percent of the province’s 473 barangays have been mapped for the upcoming free barangay-based skills training.
Baldove, also Tesda’s public information officer, said they seek support from local chief executives in reaching out to the villages.
Through the BKPKK, Tesda brings its services to rural areas, particularly among out-of-school youths, the unemployed and others who want to acquire skills for self-employment, overseas work and entrepreneurship. (PIA/PN)
