ILOILO City – A Mitsubishi L200 Strada pickup caught fire on Ledesma Street, Barangay Gloria, City Proper.
Quick-responding Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) fire fighters effectively put out the fire around 12:10 p.m. on Monday.
“The fire was likely electrical in nature,” said Fire Officer 2 Denmark Macoco.
Driver James Cuevas, 36, of Alta Tierra Village, Jaro district sought help after his pickup started emitting fumes then fire around 11:50 a.m. He dashed out of his vehicle.
BFP said Cuevas had his pickup’s window repaired earlier in the day.
